Dialogue with readers Revamping the site and new commentary from the webmaster Since starting a year ago, My Favorite Nudes has enjoyed tremendous traffic and viewership from fans of quality nude art. Alas, our site has also attracted unwelcome attention from thieves and scammers on the web. Some of these bozos succeeded in slowing our servers to a crawl by "hotlinking" our art. This was highly unfair to our loyal users, as well as to the sponsors who generously provide us with these copyrighted images. Not to mention that it's just plain sleazy for these overseas crooks to let us else pay for the server time and bandwidth to put stolen pictures on their websites. To correct this, we spent several days at the end of August reconfiguring the site, adding technical fixes to stop the bandwidth thieves, improving some of the navigation links, and creating this blog. I hope to have new entries here just about every day, highlighting our newest content. This will give my opinion about the photosets we post from our sponsors, with some thoughts about what I like or don't like about each. I also hope to hear from you, and engage in a creative dialogue about what we all love: Beautiful women, nude. Also look for the occasional commentary, with links, about other features, like some new original artwork that we've posted recently. The Beachcomber's muse and partner is contributing drawings and paintings of nudes, starting with one of herself, for your enjoyment. Please let me know what you think. Triple threat disappoints These three graces could use more grace and heat in their poses I sure love photosets featuring multiple nude women, so I was excited to see Met-Art releasing this one with three of their consistently hottest models. 
But I was disappointed in the execution, to be frank. Certainly Vika, Irina and Olivia are just as attractive as ever,
and many of their poses are pleasantly revealing. And there's potential in mixing women who resemble each other so closely. But the whole set
has a forced, artificial feel to it. The models never really "click" in a convincingly erotic way.Granted, it's not easy to get spontaneous electricity out of a group like this, just because of the dynamics among three women. With the right pairing, two women -- concentrating only on each other -- can easily strike sparks. But that's where the photographer has a responsibility to at least choreograph the poses. This is something one of Met-Art's chief competitors, Hegre Art, does exceptionally well. Its owner and creative talent, Petter Hegre, has a knack for getting both artistry and eroticism out of his group shots. There's real potential here, as artists have recognized for thousands of years. One of the masterpieces of ancient Greek art is a fragmentary carving of The Three Graces, a trio of shapely nude torsos. It looks like the complete sculpture once showed these three female deities embracing each other in a dance. Artists ever since have been trying to emulate its artistic -- and sexual -- impact. I'd recommend it as an example for photographers confronted with that delicious problem of how best to pose three naked beauties together. Meanwhile, I'm not saying don't check out Irina, Vika and Olivia. They certainly show enough to get a rise out of you. Good thing they're wet Water cools down the sexual heat flowing between these two stunners By contrast to the previous set, I have to say this fem-on-fem gallery from Met-Art delivers exactly what it should: believable erotic tension between the two models. Awkward poses for dark beauty Appealing new model strikes peculiar poses for afemale photographer There should be a special rapport between a female model and a female photographer. That's what I hoped to see in this gallery from Met-Art by the Russian artist who works under the name "Ingret." Like her previous work, this set shows promise, but I think her approach to erotic nudes still has a ways to go. Maybe Ingret is trying too hard to emulate a male point of view, which can lead to over-reliance on awkward, unattractive poses. In this set, featuring the debut of the model Dinara, I'm put off by shots that have her looking backward between her legs, spread in a position that doesn't look appealing to me or comfortable to her. Now I like the shot-from-behind sexual-invitation pose just fine, when it's done right. Few images are sexier than an attractive, naked woman offering herself to be mounted from the rear. This poor girl just looks goofy contorting herself the way we see here. I'm going to tread carefully on the subject of the stockings. I can dig the erotic charge of having a naked woman wearing only a pair of hose, of whatever color. But to me, there needs to be a little more implicit story-telling, to give me a hint about why an attractive gal like Dinara might have these gaudy pink tights on her shapely legs. If I could give Ingret one piece of advice, it would be: find a theme for a shoot that's a little bit more coherent than this strange jumble of long socks, an inexplicable length of rope, and a generic studio backdrop shot so tight we can't ever appreciate this model's entire body, naturally posed. Dinara deserves better presentation. Her pretty face, punctuated by lush, sensuous lips, pulls us in to appreciate her shapely torso and robust, frankly presented vulva. The dark, curly hair alone is worth the time to check her out. Would it be too much to see some standing shots that contrast her shapely butt with a cascade of black ringlets down her back? Take a gander at this set, just for Dinara, and hope Met-Art shows us more or her soon. And let's encourage Ingret to be truer to her own female sense of sexual adventure and bring us some freer, more natural images next time. That pesky fabric A conundrum: Does peek-a-boo enhance or detract from these photos? I offer this photoset, not because it's one of my favorites, but because it raises an issue that's important to me. That is, do garments or drapes or other props that hide a model's body create a positive sexual tension among the viewers? Or is it just a pain in the ass, a waste of time, a distraction from the chance to gaze at a beautiful naked body? No, I shouldn't telegraph my opinion so blatantly. But frankly I'm disappointed that the normally excellent MPL Studios presents their "Studio Girl" Alizeya mostly wrapped up in a piece of cloth. Oh, sure, it's flimsy, semi-transparent, in bright, tropical colors. Just right for this exotic beach setting. But I argue it isn't right to force us to wait through picture after picture until she loses the drapery and shows us all of herself. Maybe I'm such a crank about this because I think it's the entire woman that's the most sexy, not individual body parts. Now, admittedly, I drool over a pretty pink pussy, or soft rounded buns or boobs as much as (or more than!) the next guy. But if I'm not also able to enjoy how it fits with the whole body, and the face, I don't fully enjoy the sight. The whole vs. the parts More philosophy: Does a focus on the genitals devalue the woman? Sorry, but I'm in a thoughtful mood this week, and a nice batch of new pictures from MPL studios has got me thinking about the nature of things erotic. In my last comment, I blathered on about how we need to see "the whole woman," not bits and pieces revealed as garments are artfully parted or removed. So here we have this interesting set featuring Savina, where the photographer gets WAY up and WAY close and WAY personal with Savina's very pretty, closely shaved pussy. We can study every wrinkle and hair follicle, boys and girls. But we get equally close to her face, and both are enjoyable experiences. And, of course, a majority of the pics are whole-body, or nearly so. It's not as though we don't have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the whole package. Or properly, the whole person. Erotic-art royalty Kinga shares her elegant body, makes us aspire to a higher esthetic One of the mainstays on the excellent FEMJOY website is Kinga, a model who works exclusively with the German photographer Stefan Soell. Petter Hegre, the founder and creative talent of Hegre Art, has done very well keeping his trademark style consistent over the years. Long, lean and sleek Five photosets in a week feature Anna S. I have no idea why Petter Hegre is releasing five (count 'em, 5!) free galleries of the same model this week. That's pretty unusual, and it's unexplained. But I'm glad he chose Anna S., one of the finest looking women in his current stable of European beauties.
